Description
Air filter stub stack specially made for the DB2 Vantage to MkIII 1.75" SU carbs, the 4 bolt type, similar to K & N's original solid cast alloy Stub Stack from years ago as fitted to performance SUs for other classics,
The Stub Stack fits inside your original AML Vokes air filter casing & bolts up to the face of the carb (over the lip) using the original 3/16" studs & new spacer tubes. An inexpensive item that improves performance especially when using Aston Service Dorset's K & N replacement air filters as shown in the photo.

With all the talk about how to get the best performance from your Aston it only seems natural that perhaps optimizing what you have is the basic first step. The addition of a "stub stack" within your K&N filter is one of the simplest & cheapest ways to improve performance. The principle is that the more air you get into the Combustion chamber, the denser the charge, the greater the chances of increased horsepower - sometimes ecomony aswell. These specially made stub stacks from Four Ashes are based on the original K&N design do the job and easily fit into the AML Vokes filter casings.
The bottom photo's are the one's we make for the K & N round air filters, we also have the offset K & N air filters specially made for us, as shown in the lower photo's,
As they are a large cast blank they can also be machined to fit larger carburettors (for other Classic's ?) upon request.
