The gearbox fitted to the 2.6ltr & 3ltr Lagonda's is the same as a STD gearbox fitted to a DB2 or DB2/4 of a similar year, the gearlever on the earlier cars was column mounted with a central floor mounted lever on the later 3 ltr's.

Overdrive cannot be fitted (as yet - early 2012) to the back of the gearbox.

The differential fitted is a 3HA independant unit with a long, removable nose extension (ideal place for fitting the overdrive) attaching it to the propshaft, it has large inboard drum brakes attached to the diff, with short (ish) driveshafts connecting the drivetrain to the independant rear suspension.
